Lug torque sequence should be a 3 stage process:
- Torque all lug nuts to 20-25 (Ft. Lbs)**
- Torque all lug nuts to 50-60 (Ft. Lbs)**
- Torque all lug nuts to 95-100 (Ft. Lbs)**
95-100 lbs is the recommended torque for stainless steel lugs on the aluminum rims.
**Always tighten in a "star" pattern. Tighten one nut, then move across to the next & etc., until all are tight in this "star" pattern.
Check lug torque at 50 miles, at 250, and then every 500 to 1,000 miles thereafter.
Bearings should be lubricated every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. To prepare the hubs for lubrication, please see the Dexter, Lippert, or Terran owner's manual, depending on which axle is on your trailer.
You typically can use any aluminum polish or cleaner. Shark Skin, Aluma-Brite and Citra Brite are brands used and recommended by dealers and owners. Dark spots on your aluminum deck can sometimes be treated with WD40.
Check the tire sidewall for the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
Aluminum has many benefits over steel. Not only are they strong and durable, but they're lighter to tow. You can read more about various benefits of choosing aluminum over steel by clicking here.
